Chicago Early Learning is the City of Chicago’s Early Learning Portal, where residents can easily find and compare early learning programs side-by-side.
Hive Mapping Cooperative
The Hive Mapping Cooperative is a partnership of the Chicago Academy of Science and its Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Sweet Water Foundation, and Smart Chicago.
LocalWiki
Smart Chicago seeded the Chicago version of LocalWiki in partnership with the Chicago Public Library in an effort to feature local authors, books about Chicago, and publish more information about Chicago’s rich history.
Time to Tech
Time to Tech is our Partnership with the Chicago Public Library Foundation to design comprehensive training that will increase organizational technology aptitude. The initial audience will be Hive Organizations, with plans to expand to general public.
Youth-Led Tech
Currently recruiting: 1o Lead Instructors, 25 Assistant Instructors, 9 Locations, and Food Vendors for the entire program. Youth-led Tech Summer 2016 is a technology mentoring program in three Chicago neighborhoods: Austin, North Lawndale, and Roseland. We are also delivering a program in the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center .
Connect Chicago
Connect Chicago is a loose network of more than 250 places in the city where internet and computer access, digital skills training, and online learning resources are available—for free. The work of these people in libraries, colleges, community centers, workforce development centers, and public housing help create a vibrant culture of learning, making Chicago more globally competitive and an all-around better place to live and work.
